The Yemeni Government has stepped up its campaign against the Houthi rebels in the North. Yemen, a generally Sunni country is at de facto war with the Shi'a Houthis.
The Houthis have executed raids into Saudi Arabia, the richest, most militarily powerful, most religiously fundamentalist country in the world. The Saudis have responded with a violent military operation in the South to secure their borders.
Iran has offered to help restore "regional security". That's slang for "shoot the shit out of them".
Yemen is already a very poor country. In 2007, the poverty level in the country was at 43%. The campaign has meant cutting back on the social programmes. The poverty rate has jumped up to 57% and malnutrition in society has increased from 12 to 16%.
Their war is at the cost of the well-being of the poor of the nation. What is to be done?
